Who supplies batteries to business fleets?

Battery Authority USA is a commercial battery supplier for fleets, towing and roadside companies, service contractors and multi-site businesses in the United States. Fleet customers buy Continental and Deka batteries at commercial pricing through one account, and collect them at partner distributor locations, currently 1,300+ across 48 states, Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico, or have them shipped directly when a site has no pickup point nearby.

There is no minimum order and no membership fee. A fleet of five vans and a fleet of five hundred trucks open the same kind of account.

How a fleet battery account works

  1. Apply once. Tell us the business, the number of vehicles, and the cities or states where they operate. A rep confirms commercial pricing and the pickup locations closest to each site.
  2. Order by phone or through the request form. Give us the vehicle, or the battery group size if you already know it, and the location you want it at. Most partner locations can have a battery ready for same-day pickup.
  3. Pick up or receive. Your driver or technician collects the battery at the counter, or we ship it to the site.
  4. One invoice. Every pickup across every site lands on a single monthly statement for your commercial account.

Pickup or on-site: which fits a fleet?

Most fleets use pickup. A dead battery in a delivery van is replaced the same morning by a technician who stops at the nearest partner counter on the way. For sites with no partner location within a reasonable drive, we ship directly. Battery Authority USA does not send a mobile technician to install batteries; if you need installation on site, your own technician or a local roadside partner does the install with a battery from our network.

What batteries do fleet vehicles use?

The catalog covers 160+ Continental and Deka batteries. Group sizes fleets ask for most:

  • Light vans and pickups: Group 24F, 35, 48, 65, 75 and 94R, flooded or AGM.
  • Medium-duty trucks: Group 31, in flooded, AGM and deep-cycle versions.
  • Heavy trucks and equipment: Group 4D and 8D, plus commercial 12-volt options.
  • Start-stop and accessory-heavy vehicles: AGM in the matching group size.

If you have the year, make and model, the battery lookup returns the group size, cold cranking amps and terminal layout for the vehicle.

Warranty handling for fleets

Warranty returns go through the manufacturer warranty programs for Continental and Deka. A failed battery is tested, and once failure is confirmed and coverage verified, a replacement is issued. Your rep tracks claims against your account so a fleet with vehicles in several states is not chasing paperwork at several counters.

Winter demand

Battery failures rise sharply in cold weather, and fleets feel it first because every vehicle that fails to start is a missed route. Fleet accounts can pre-position stock before winter for the group sizes their vehicles use, and pick up the rest as calls come in.

Where the network reaches

Pickup locations sit in all major metros and most mid-size cities. The largest concentrations are in California, Florida, Texas, New York, New Jersey and Georgia; the full state-by-state list, with counts and cities, is on the pickup locations page. Direct shipping covers the rest of the country.

Fleet Battery Supply: Common Questions

Through a Battery Authority USA commercial account. Order by phone or through the battery request form, then pick the battery up at the nearest of 1,300+ partner locations or have it shipped to the site. Every order across every site goes on one monthly invoice.

No minimum order, no membership fee and no minimum commitment. Commercial pricing is set on your account when it opens, and volume is reflected in pricing rather than required by it.

We supply the battery; installation is done by your technician or a roadside partner. For sites without a nearby partner location, we ship directly. Many towing and roadside companies in our partner program install batteries for fleet customers, so if you need an installer in a given city, ask your rep.

Yes. The account is national. A technician in Phoenix and a technician in Newark pick up from their nearest partner locations on the same account, at the same commercial pricing, and both pickups appear on the same monthly statement.

Continental and Deka (East Penn Manufacturing), across automotive, commercial truck, AGM, flooded and deep-cycle lines. More than 160 batteries are in the catalog.

Failed batteries are tested and claims go through the manufacturer warranty programs. Your account rep tracks claims for the whole fleet so multi-state operations deal with one contact, not one counter per state.

Send the application on the partner program page and choose Fleet operator as the business type, or call (855) 411-4872. A rep calls back to set commercial pricing and map your sites to pickup locations.
